Jason Gorevic , Chief Executive Officer

Since taking the reins as chief executive officer of Teladoc in 2009, Jason Gorevic has led the company through tremendous growth, increasing revenue nearly twentyfold and driving Teladoc to its position today as the leading and fastest growing telemedicine firm in the United States. He has steered Teladoc through innovative program enhancements, the redesign of core technology, mulitple rounds of expansion funding and successful acquisitions - gaining market traction and customer acceptance at rates unprecedented in the healthcare segment.

Throughout his healthcare career, Jason has been a leader in the development, launch and management of innovative products and services that simultaneously deliver custom value and bottom-line results. Prior to taking charge at Teladoc, Jason was senior vice president and chief marketing and product officer of WellPoint, Inc. (now Anthem), the largest managed care company in the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association and second largest insurer in the United States. He twice won WellPoint's Pinnacle Award for outstanding leadership. As president of Empire BlueCross BlueShield Jason had full P&L and operational responsibility for the $7-billion New York region, consistently exceeding enrollment and financial targets. In addition, when WellPoint acquired Lumenos Inc., he served as its interim president. Jason became part of WellPoint when it acquired Empire BlueCross BlueShield in 2005, having joined the Empire leadership team in 2002, prior to its successful IPO that same year, and soon became its chief sales and marketing officer.

Jason began his career at Oxford Health Plans in 1993, where he served in several marketing and operations capacities. At Oxford, Jason designed, built and managed a telephone medical advice line staffed by registered nurses, which was a first-of-its-kind service in the managed care segment and is now an industry standard.

In 2014, Jason was recognized by Ernst & Young as a regional of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award, and in 2003, at the age of 31, he was named one of Crain's New York Business "40 under 40" executives. He received a bachelor of arts degree in international relations from the University of Pennsylvania.

Mark Hirschhorn , , , Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Hirschhorn became our Chief Operating Officer in September 2016 when he assumed this newly created role in addition to his Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President responsibilities. He joined Teladoc as Chief Financial Officer in October 2012.

Mr. Hirschhorn is an experienced senior financial executive who has worked with numerous entrepreneurial ventures in a variety of different market segments. From 2004 to October 2012, Mr. Hirschhorn sered as EVP & CFO of RCS/Media Monitors, an international software technology company that serves the media and entertainment markets. From 2000 to 2003, Mr. Hirschhorn served as CFO in a number of technology companies, including BT Radianz. Prior to that, he spent five years as the Vice President and Global Controller of RSL Communications, a publicly traded mulitnational telecommunications company, and as CFO of Delta Three Communications, a publicly traded RSL subsidiary and pioneer in VOIP technology. He started his professional career with Deloitte and spent nine years with the firm.

Mr. Hirschhorn earned a B.A. from Rutgers University and an M.B.A. from Rutgers Business School Mr. Hirschhorn is a CPA and a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Peter Nieves , Chief Revenue Officer

Pete Nieves serves as executive vice president and chief revenue officer for Teladoc. He oversees all growth and product development.

Mr. Nieves possesses a deep understanding of the employer, payer and broker/consultant landscapes. Prior to joining Teladoc in early 2017, he was executive vice president, employer market at Optum, where he built the employer market solution to more than a $1 billion business. He also spent more than a decade with Mercer, successfully developing high performing teams that executed on well-defined growth strategies, and rising in the ranks to the role of senior partner, global growth strategy leader, Mercer Health and Benefits. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Iona College.

Henry DePhillips , , M.D. , , Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Henry DePhillips, chief medical officer of Teladoc, is experienced in the practice of medicine, medical management and health informatics. In addition to practicing family medicine early in his career, his experience includes serving as senior medical director for a major managed care company and several medical technology companies, and serving in a business development capacity for a leading consulting firm. He is an expert on use of informatics to influence personal and clinical decision-making.

At Teladoc, Henry is responsible for the overall delivery of high quality clinical care to Teladoc patients and the supervision and expansion of Teladoc’s physician network. He is passionate about the potential for technology to improve the quality of healthcare and believes that leveraging technology to allow patients to receive care when and where they want is a critical component to improving access to the medical system.

Prior to joining Teladoc, Henry held leadership positions in healthcare consulting, health insurance and healthcare information technology. Former positions include senior medical director at Independence Blue Cross of Pennsylvania and chief medical officer at MEDecision (a clinical care management software company); Medem (a physician hosted website and PHR company); PDR Network (an electronic patient safety communications company); and Audax Health (a consumer engagement technology company). Henry was also the head of business development, North America, for McKinsey’s international Health Systems Institute.

Henry received a bachelor of science degree in biochemistry from Trinity College and his M.D. at Hahnemann University School of Medicine. He performed his residency in family and community medicine at the Medical Center of Delaware.

Formerly in private practice for 10 years, Henry remains board certified in family and community Medicine. As a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP), he has been recognized for his service in family medicine, leadership in the advancement of care and contributions to continuing professional development and medical education.

Mike King , Chief Sales Officer

Michael King is chief sales officer for Teladoc, responsible for building and managing Teladoc’s sales organization and client relationships. Mike serves as a member of the senior leadership team, drawing upon more than 17 years of management expertise and a depth of experience in the healthcare industry, including sales planning and strategy, multi-channel and consultative sales, channel partner and product marketing, and account management and client retention.

At Teladoc, Mike is in charge of overall sales and account management planning and development of market approaches for all segments, as well as building, developing and mentoring the sales and account management organization so that team members achieve their highest personal and professional results. Mike is committed to building customer trust and ensuring the integrity of Teladoc’s client relationships.

Prior to his position with Teladoc, Mike held various posts at Healthways Inc. after joining the firm in 2001, serving as senior vice president for innovation and senior vice president of sales. During his tenure, he was responsible for developing and implementing sales plans and multi-channel sales strategies that resulted in consistent revenue growth and expanded market share. In addition to sales operations, he also directed consultant relationship management, product marketing and messaging.

Earlier, Mike managed multiple sales and marketing programs at such organizations as Caresteps.com, Wellpath Community Health Plans, Doctors Health Plan and Aetna.

Mike earned a bachelor of science degree in employment relations from Michigan State University and attended the general managers program at Harvard Business School.

Jeff Nadler , , , Chief Technology Officer

Jeffrey Nadler is chief technology officer of Teladoc, bringing more than 20 years of management experience in the architecture, design and delivery of information technology. He is responsible for all aspects of information technology at Teladoc including overall enterprise security.

Jeff has specialized expertise in the healthcare, financial services and insurance industries, and broad experience building and managing large, high-performing IT teams and driving successful projects to completion. He is adept at developing enterprise-scale, custom application platforms with proven scalability, performance, security and reliability. And, he has significant experience architecting and managing high-performance websites, very large relational database systems and real-time financial industry trading systems.

His accomplishments at Teladoc include re-architecting the core application platform to achieve massive scalability and deep and flexible data integration with clients and partners, designing and developing the company’s suite of mobile apps, driving the company’s technology strategy and building out the IT department to meet the growing needs of the business.

Before joining Teladoc, Jeff served as chief technology officer for ActiveHealth Management, a leading vendor of products and services for the healthcare industry in the areas of disease management, wellness, personal health records, analytics, lifestyle coaching, UM/CM and clinical decision support. His accomplishments there include development of the world‘s leading, patented clinical decision support engine.

Previously, he served as senior vice president in the enterprise technology group at Marsh and McLennan Companies, director and program manager at Cambridge Technology Partners and co-founder of a company that specialized in text retrieval software and related products and services.

Jeff graduated magna cum laude from Union College in Schenectady, N.Y., where he received a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering.

Adam C. Vandervoort , Chief Legal Officer

Adam Vandervoort joined Teladoc in February 2015 as chief legal officer. He helps Teladoc comply with applicable law and also serves as secretary to its board of directors.

Adam is an experienced transactional and corporate attorney. Prior to joining Teladoc, he spent more than eight years as general counsel to Independence Holding Company, a publicly traded health insurance holding company. Before that, he was an in-house lawyer with FedEx Corporation and practiced law with the firm of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.

Adam has a J.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and bachelor of arts and master of arts degrees from the University of Chicago. He is admitted to practice law in the states of California, Connecticut and New York.

Stephany Verstraete , , , Chief Marketing Officer

As Chief Marketing Officer, Stephany Verstraete is a seasoned ecommerce and marketing executive with more than 15 years of experience in leadership positions with high-profile brands.

She has a proven track record of building and growing digital brands and high-performing global teams. Her specialties include classic brand marketing, digital marketing, business development and general management.

Prior to joining Teladoc in early 2016, Stephany held leadership roles during high-growth phases of digital pioneers, such as Match.com and Expedia, where she led customer acquisition and engagement efforts globally. She also worked for Kraft, Frito Lay and Hostess, where she honed her experience in all elements of brand stewardship including consumer segmentation, insights and positioning.

Most recently, Stephany made the leap into healthcare at Truveris where she served as chief marketing officer.

She holds an International Master of Business Administration from York University, and an Honors Bachelor of Economics from Queens University in Canada.

Alan C. Roga , M.D. , President, Provider Market

Dr. Alan C. Roga, an emergency medicine physician, currently serves as president of the provider market for Teladoc, where he has full P&L responsibility for the strategic direction and management of Teladoc services offered to hospitals, health systems, retail clinics and physician groups. His responsibilities include management and oversight of all product development, sales and marketing, account management and day-to-day operational functions within the division, and coordination across the organization to achieve company goals and stimulate innovation.

Alan joined Teladoc in 2015 with the acquisition of StatDoctors, a national telehealth company he founded in 2009 and led from its inception to successful acquisition. As founder and chief executive officer of StatDoctors, Alan spearheaded the development and growth of the company’s on-demand telehealth services, serving individual member-patients through agreements with hospitals, health systems and other corporate and organizational clients. Prior to founding StatDoctors, Alan’s other roles have included serving as president of Scottsdale Emergency Associates Ltd., a leading Scottsdale, Arizona, emergency medicine physician group and chairman of the emergency department of HonorHealth (formerly Scottsdale Healthcare Shea Medical Center).

Alan is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Medicine and a diplomat of the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He is also past president of the American College of Emergency Physicians, Arizona Chapter, and has been recognized numerous times as Phoenix Magazine’s “Top Doctor” in emergency medicine. He received his M.D. from the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine and a B.S. degree from the State University of New York at Albany.

Dan Trencher , , , Senior Vice President of Product & Corporate Strategy

Daniel Trencher joined the Teladoc team in the fall of 2011, bringing a decade of healthcare industry experience to his role as senior vice president of business development, responsible for developing and executing new growth opportunities and initiatives for Teladoc. In 2014, Dan transitioned to leading Teladoc’s product development, corporate strategy and project management office. In this capacity, Dan ensures Teladoc delivers innovation throughout the product lifecycle, from long-term product roadmapping to project execution.

Dan’s professional experiences have combined to give him unusual depth and breadth in healthcare, including hands-on product and operational expertise, development of analytically driven strategies, and the management and execution of growth initiatives across different healthcare customer segments—including group, individual and Medicaid. Dan also has developed and managed new growth initiatives involving varied components of the healthcare value chain, ranging from providers to disease management/wellness programs to health information technology.

Prior to joining Teladoc, Dan served as staff vice president for corporate strategy at WellPoint Inc. He led the company’s effort to develop new strategies to profitably grow its base of 34 million members and broad portfolio of businesses. He also spearheaded the company’s strategic response to the Affordable Care Act, including the new health insurance exchanges, and served as its subject matter expert on the issue of health reform. In earlier roles with WellPoint he led market strategy and specialty dental and vision lines for the $7.5-billion New York region, and product development teams that produced 250-percent growth in strategic medical insurance products, and new products and services driven by Medicare reform.

Dan’s earlier experience in management consulting includes positions with Booz & Co.’s communications, media, and technology practice, and the firm of PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Dan earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and a master of business administration degree from the University of Chicago.

Andrew Turitz , Senior Vice President of Business Development

Andrew Turitz joined Teladoc in 2015 as senior vice president of business development. He is responsible for identifying, evaluating and executing growth opportunities for Teladoc through partnerships, acquisitions, joint ventures and other third-party transactions.

Drew has more than 12 years of experience in healthcare transactions, including the management of all phases of acquisitions, investments and partnerships—from analysis, diligence and transaction structuring to product integration, go-to-market strategies and operational integration.

Prior to joining Teladoc, Drew was a vice president of business development for Healthagen, a division of Aetna providing population health technology, accountable care and care management services to providers, payers, employers and consumers. He led acquisitions, investing and partnerships for Healthagen and its portfolio companies including iTriage, ActiveHealth, Medicity and Accountable Care Solutions.

From 2008 to 2012, Drew served as a vice president and then managing director for Sandbox Industries, which manages $300 million of capital for 20 Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans. At Sandbox, Drew led seed-to-growth-stage venture investments in Bloom Health, Change Healthcare, Zeomega and others. He served on the board of directors for numerous portfolio companies, and worked with them to form strategic and commercial relationships with Blue plans, develop new payer-focused business strategies, recruit executives and raise capital for follow-on investments.

Earlier, Drew was a vice president of healthcare investment banking for Bank of America. He specialized in healthcare mergers and acquisitions, providing strategic and financial advisory services to clients across all healthcare industry sectors.

Drew received a bachelor of arts degree from Stanford University and a master of business administration degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
